      Being afraid of being afraid is a deeply disorienting and difficult place to be. However, your symptoms are not who you are. I can help you to find new paths so you can feel like yourself and think clearly. I use evidence-based techniques, so you can feel better as soon as possible. ​

Counseling for Personal Crisis:

      Isolation and loss of relationship, health, or occupation can shatter your sense of control, connection, and meaning. 
      A caring therapeutic alliance can form a bond, a glue that can help you put yourself back together.  Feelings of helplessness and alienation can be healed. Balance between emotional extremes can be regained.
      Postpartum and prenatal mood disorders are too serious to ignore. They are hard on your body, your sense of self, and your relationships.
       However, perinatal anxiety, depression, and trauma are treatable. Cognitive and interpersonal therapy have both been shown to be effective. They can alleviate symptoms and ease the transition to motherhood by restoring a sense of normalcy and removing self-blame.
