Coaching helps people who are not struggling with mental health needs, are not symptomatic, and who don't need a diagnosis or treatment plan to heal and move forward in life. Coaching is about getting a partner to meet your goals, get and stay motivated, and focuses on making things better in the present and the future.
Currently, I coach clients who want help meeting health goals, progress artistically, adjust to pregnancy or childbirth, or want help adjusting to other big life changes.
I began coaching in 2003 coming alongside new moms in pregnancy and postpartum, and helping people increase emotional resilience by learning new mental skills and strategies. Although I have added a psychotherapy credential since then and do that work as a separate vocation, my coaching is a very different process with a different clientele.
