About:

As a counselor, my focus is on intensive brief therapy for reducing symptoms and building lifelong emotional resilience. My philosophy is that kindness and truthful speech opens the door to insight and breakthrough.

I primarily use Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. However, I prioritize responding individually by customizing treatments using the approach that fits the person and the need. Targets of therapy are often depression or anxiety which result from disputes, role transitions, grief and loss, and interpersonal sensitivity and functionality. You can expect a thorough diagnostic assessment, collaborative therapeutic goal setting based on your individual needs and desires, and mental health treatment that is intensive, focused and practical.

I am a graduate of the University of Washington and Multnomah University and am also a life-long artist. To see a selection of my work click here.
